Comment added on October 13, 2010Thanks Sandy, glad to hear!
I used a Mack Heatseeker 18 watt tube head. It is a simple amp with great tone. I then adjust volume and tone knobs on my guitar to taste. My tone gets fairly bright with my Suhr and Heatseeker, so I roll off the tone knob half way or so to compensate. Works great.
I could sit and listen to your dabblings all day Robert!
The Strymore Reverb demonstration was great. I liked watching your right hand technique. I'm one of the 'old-school' pickers who started out with pick. I have gradually developed all the right hand fingers but still persist with the pick losing one finger in the bargain (four fingers & thumb minus thumb & index finger holding the pick)
I really liked the sound you get from the guitar pre-reverb. could you reply with any amp brand & model preferances and settings that give the tonality you had on this demo? I realize the finger attack is a large part of the component but am in the market for a new amp anyway. My Peavey Bandit 65 has paid its dues. I am currently trying out the Roland Piano amp KC-350 for it's warmer 12" speaker delivery and mellow low end. (wanting a little softer jazz tones) This amp has a mike channel as well.
Look forward to your suggestions and reply. Thanks again,
Sandy Erickson (Burnaby, BC)
