Gwyneth Paltrow Learns To Play Guitar

Gwyneth Paltrow has been practicing guitar a lot lately. In fact, until she cried and her fingers bled. How's that for not being a wimp! Maybe we should take a hint from her.

The Oscar winning actress really wanted to perform the final scene in her new film Country Song herself, even if it was going to make her suffer.

Gwyneth told People magazine: "[Faking it] is just not my style. I was going into such another world, and I wanted it to be as authentic as possible.

"I played all the time, and my hands were bleeding and cramping. It sucked. I cried, like, five times at various points over the four months. It's really f**ing hard. It's much harder than it looks."

She is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, but Gwyneth was taught how to play by a British session guitarist by the name Mark Jaimes. Apparently Chris doesn't have time to teach her guitar...

Personally, these kind of stories are great. I mean, these famous people don't have to learn something really hard - they could just use a stand-in. However, it seems quite common that top actors/actresses really want to dig in deep and hard to make their character as good as can be. Kudos to them.
