You know, I get a lot of comments on my youtube videos. Some of them are really funny too, so I've decided to post the funniest or most interesting comment for each month here on my blog, from now on. This should be an interesting journey! I do have a lot to choose from, so it shouldn't be too hard.
So here is the winning comment for January 2010.man im 16 and i can sweep a bit but ive never seen a guy that looks as old as you shred it up like the youngins man!! i tip my pik and my hat to you sir, if you could. post some stuff about dimished arpeggios there my favortiee
Isn't that something! I know I just turned 40, but do I really look that old?! Oh well, I'm happy to entertain!

But the response to this comment by jwandhistools wins an honourable mention too!
Old farts invented all the cool techniques. Les Paul was sweeping 50 years ago. Tal Farlow was tapping 40-50 years ago. I won't even try to describe what Jerry Reed could do back in the 60's and 70's. I hope you get really good at diminished arpeggios. Great way to scare the hell out of Mom and Dad. They'll think you worship the devil or something...haha...
