Another question I've often thought about was pedal placement with amps that have effect loops.  I tried my pocket pod on the effects loop and it sounded like garbage.  When I used it before the amp itself, it sounds good.  So here's the question.  What effects are best before the amp and what effects are best in the effects loop of the amp?

Overdrives, and distortion stuff should be before the amp.
