There's this older fella I know that kinda plinks around with the guitar once in awhile. He was over to the house the other day and took a likin' to my Fender Vibro Champ XD! GET THIS, he's willin' to TRADE me his Fender Vibrolux Reverb amp! :o I'm like WHAT?! What would YOU do?

Yes, you're getting the better deal.  But he's looking for something not so loud, heavy, and has more features.  One great amp to another. Offer to trade with an open door to exchange it...(for a short time).  Chances are you'll have to retube the amp, change the power cord to a ground cord, clean the pots, and maybe change the speaker.  It sounds good, but it might not be...

I can dig what you're sayin' but I've already worked on this amp! Point is, I feel kinda weird doin' this deal 'cause the older I get, the more mature I get! I look out for my fellow man 'cause that's who I am. Twenty years ago, I would've said F*** it! But that's then! It's a "white knob" model! I gotta respect this dude, 'cause he's a good customer and he gave me a Fender Blues Junior 6 years ago, so I'm not going to dog nobody. That's not me. If I get it, I'm goin' to get me a Deluxe Reverb! Nuff said! Thanks for you guy's input just the same! Y'all the best!

If your Jiminy Cricket on your shoulder is bothering you, then be honest with him with your thoughts of value.  Let him know his amp is worth much more than the vibrochamp xd.  I'd like to get the Hot Rod Deluxe III.

The guilt didn't overcome me as much as the sound from this thing as soon as I got it together (had to clean the pins on the output tubes).

Absolutely! I would've never let something like that sit in a garage as long as it has been! That thing cranks now that I'm done with it.!
