I am glad to see the new forum format here.

I live in Michigan and enjoy guitars and music as a hobby.  I keep a Godin Solidac and a junky SX stratocaster with some upgrades plugged into my mac for doodling around.  I have an Epi valve jr and 12" celestion ext cab.  There is a Line 6 MD9 between the guitar and amp.

Robert does a great job of keeping this great site filled with cool guitar stuff.

Hello Godinville,
   I'm a fellow Michigander in the Detroit Area.  It sounds like you can get some good tones with the gear you have.  I like the reviews Robert has.  I bought a couple pedals because of his advice.

How do you like that Epi Valve Jr? I'm thinking of getting either one of those or maybe a Bugera V5 to replace my Marshall MG15CDR.

Just my little piece.  The Epi Valve Jr. is an awesome amp plus if you're really wanting some change, they're supposed to be easy to mod too.

I love the epi now that I have an extension cab!  I is very loud and clean at low volumes.  with the MD9 in front of it, the possibilities are endless!!!

Thanks for the info. I've gotten more positive feedback about the Epi although I haven't run across near as many people that have the Bugera to get a lot of input on that model.
