Davy Knowles, check him out.  Also, look up Rob Chappers.  (more of teacher and gear vids, but he's really funny to watch)

Same here, but there are some vids that stand out to me. I'm pretty sure you guys have heard of "Riff Guy". There's others though. This one's pretty cool to me~  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LI9ySNS-Mv4&playnext=1&list=PL32D8807D4287426B&index=5

Now I don't do country, and there's nothing wrong with it but this dude's cut is nice. But I like music..... guitar music.

I saw Davy Knowles open for Chickenfoot in Ct. he is a great player! Did not know of him before the concert and left the show a fan-he really won the crowd over that night.

I've heard he's done that at every show.  He opened for another band once and the crowd wanted him to keep going.

Same goes for me as far as not following anyone specific, but I have done some random searching for songs and some good ones have come up. It's pretty sweet. I'll have to check out some of these youtube guitarists, thanks guys.

probably because i look a little like Frankie (he's a little better lookin', though, and can play a lot better), i enjoy anything new put up by him or his band. listening to his reviews is like listening to Robert's reviews and info...no bs, just straight info, clear 'this is what i found and think'. so...

that was pretty sweet actually! the dude can sing a little, he can play pretty good, and has decent tone.  in the first vid, you can see a maple 335 on a stand behind him.  when i first got a look at it,  i thought of my 335. they look just alike.  i just got it back from the tech yesterday, but that's another thread.  ;D

This one- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mq7rhPedvYw, now them's the "cleans" I often talk about. I play that way (tone) most of the time. I might have overdrive at times though. I don't know how you found that guy Reb, but it was a joy to listen to. Thanks for sharing that. There's so many good guitarists on You Tube that I can't possibly single out any one person. They're all good at what they do. That's how I found Robert (with his signature baseball cap he used to wear). ::)
To everybody that contributed in the collaboration project here in this here forum... take a bow.

y'all are very welcome. i found frankie because i 'wander youtube' sometimes when i can't sleep at night....but...yeah...frankie looks like a 'normal guy', and then ya hear him play guitar. i wish i had grown up like frankie, instead of the dabbler that i turned out to be. :) i love blues and nearly all music, so...can't sleep? see what's new on youtube.

frankie turned me onto the joy and greatness of prs se semihollow (he has a sore back, like i do-i played one, but i've got all the guitars i should have in a just world)...and that's an epi sg he's playing. it may've been breathed on...but...i always admire a guy who takes the time to pull tone out of a guitar that the average guy can maybe afford.

i found Robert's site looking for backing tracks...i was frustrated at my inability to 1. get a computer to work long enough to let me learn a daw...and 2. my inability to learn a daw. i just want to play, anyway...and went looking for some backing tracks.  i owe Robert a beer...he gave me hours of enjoyment with the backing tracks.

there's a cambodian fella on youtube (i can't always find him) who doesn't speak english or anything i can vaguely understand. people have made fun of him for his language (jerks abound)...but he gives a straight up reviews like someone who knows what he's doing. he shows his settings, when he switches something....and can play like jerry lee lewis can play piano.  yeah, youtube's a wonder that balances out some of the other bad karma that the internet causes.
