why you should have 6 to 12 months of food and seeds for survival

I believe in the future and even today, one cannot count on the grocery store for their survival for food.  This is real people. Just look at the weather around the world.

i'm not a big worry about stuff that's beyond my control kinda guy.   

if any of that were to happen in my lifetime, i would do the best i could, and either live or die.
either way, some day i'll die.  i guess that makes me a grasshopper. hahahahaha

...and the world is supposedly ending in 2012, so...

On a more serious note though...I am doing good to live day to day, much less acquiring food to last 6-12 months!

I'm not too worried. I was taught by my father to hunt, fish, and farm when I was a young'un.
