Any movie buffs here?

I am a bit of a movie buff. I try to avoid the Hollywood blockbuster stuff, but that's getting harder and harder these days.

Next weekend, there is a small but very interesting film festival in our little town. They show good and hard to find movies from the past. I'm looking forward to that.

Last movie I saw was True Grit. It was really good. I give it a 7 out of 10.
I also saw The Fighter. That's a 9 out of 10. Christian Bale is amazing. Great acting by all in that one.

I loves me a great movie now and then. I find it provides a nice break from a stressful work day.

I enjoyed True Grit too.  I saw the original on TV the day after seeing the remake in the theatre.  The remake was surprisingly true to the original, which I liked.  John Wayne (born in Iowa) would have been proud.

I bought a lot of movies from the $5 bin. Real close to 300 so far.

i watch alot of movies.  we don't do cable tv in our house.  i collect martial arts/wushu/sword films.
i have a fair amount of asian cinema, aside from just the action stuff.  korean dramas, japanese horror,  and also  period dramas like kurasawa, or yamada films.  i have alot of hollywood stuff too though. i just don't prefer it. i download alot of movies using p2p.  i currently have over 600 titles.
