Hi folks! Once again we look back in the past, and reminisce about the days, and steps we took toward reaching our goals as, "geetar players". This time, I'd like to pose this question, what was, or do you remember you first effects pedal? Mine was a Univox, wah-wah pedal given to me by school mate in the 9th or 10th grade, who had moved up to a much better Vox wah pedal. This thing worked all but maybe a week, then for some reason it went south on me. Somehow, I managed to get it worknig again, but it was making a weird sound. To this day, it's hard to describe. Sometimes it would work like a normal wah pedal, other times, it would make a eeoww-eeoww sound. In frustration, I'd kick the thing, then it would be fine for awhile, then the cycle of events would start all over again. Looking back on that, it's comical, but it wasn't at the time. Hows 'bout you?

My first was some kind of bad quality distortion pedal that I got when I was 14. Can't remember the name of it though. Then I got a crappy tuner pedal with LED's and it was horrible for tuning... technology has come a long way!

First pedal was a parametric EQ, Ibanez, I think. Went into a store and asked "What's the cheapest pedal you've got?"
He sold it to me for ten bucks. I was never able to find it useful for anything, I had no clue as to how to use an EQ like that to benefit my tone. Oh, BTW,this was for my bass, not the guitar, by this time I had pretty much abandoned guitar.
