It reminds a bit of a song I've heard but I can't think of it now. The vocals are kind of hard to make out but I can't tell if it's from too much reverb or what.

Nice song.  :)

thanks for your kind comment

I did listen to it this morning and it does seem to have a bit too much reverb on it. I just used audacity and a 2 dollar skype mic to record it and a 20 dollar mic to sing into

Yeah, it might be the mic. I was using a cheap mic to record my guitar into Audacity and got a lot of noise. I record directly into the line input now and it helps on the guitar but you don't have any option with vocals except using a mic.

It reminds me a bit of the song "Deck of Cards". Its a pity the words are hard to hear and I would have liked to hear the story.
Still its a good song and thanks for posting

thank ice

I'll probably rerecord it soon since few people have said the lyrics are a bit hard to hear. The story does have a home  in many Vets memories so it would be nice for you to hear the lyrics
A few of my songs that I write are stories that I "sing like talking" kind of my style since I don't have a voice for "singing" :(
