Thank you everyone here for your thoughts. We were affected by the Tsunami but this happen during the late hours. I now just woke up so I don't know about any damage to the port/area and airport where we live. Japan now had another quake on the Sea of Japan side (China side) not related but big. Tsunami watches are still ongoing.
This is a Japanese page, but in English:http://photo.sankei.jp.msn.com/kodawari/data/2011/03/0311earthquake-gaiden2/0311earthquake-gaiden2/
As you may have heard, there was damage to the nuclear power plant. Last night they evacuated the area, this morning my wife says it is now leaking, also last night they were not able to get the cooling system to work (possible meltdown) very very bad news. But this is Japan and free press is very limited on these issues.
The quake and Tsunami damage is beyond belief. Just now on TV , the port where they export thousands of cars has been damage (Tsunami) and the cars are all tossed around and are on fire.
We are still on alert for aftershocks and Tsunami. Damn It's not good in these neck of woods.
I'll keep you all posted
Japan is still shaken, you just can't believe the damage. We get the local news of course which is not probably broadcasted internationally. It's bad, people
