A Hell of a Guitar
« on: April 15, 2011, 08:50:21 AM »
Just to let you know, I have a very special guitar called Hell guitar. It is built by a friend of mine, and I will have demos up soon. This is a fantastic sounding instrument that will be available for around $6-700 USD.

I am very excited about this guitar, because it's not expensive, but it sounds killer and is so nice to play. It already is one of my top 3 guitars, after having it only for 3 days.

It's a Tele style guitar, and I think it looks gorgeous. It features Bare Knuckle pickups, and the guitar is called No. 2.

Had to chuckle at the script on their upcoming website ( http://www.hellguitars.com/ )

"We will be open for business soon. In the meantime, how can we Hell you?"

I like that effect the tone pot has on the sound. Wonder what type of cap is being used to get that tone. Overall, it's a Tele, but not your typical Tele. It sits high on the versatility standings when it comes to sound. Good playing makes the whole experience even better.

That's one of the things I noticed too. It works really well, and changes the tone a lot if you want. I like that.

Here is a short high gain clip I recorded last night with this guitar and the loops in Logic for bass and drums. I used Pod Farm 2 for the guitar tones - the lead guitar is a variac'd Plexi with a Rat pedal.

Here is a short clip where I miced my Mack Heatseeker - no pedals used, just a bit of reverb added in Logic.

Absolutely well balanced clips! I especially liked the hook (change up) on the high gain example. Certain aspects of the sound gives it a Strat flavor (more so than other Teles). The only other Tele that comes that close (to a Straty sound) to me was that  Fender Deluxe Blackout Tele. But they still had to use 3 pickups and the 5 way PU switch.   http://www.guitarcenter.com/Fender-Deluxe-Blackout-Telecaster-Electric-Guitar-104801543-i1371267.gc  I wish I kept the one I had.

I like the design of it. On the jazz tone that you played,  it really sounded sweet. Are these made in Canada?
