Favorite guitar sites?
« on: August 31, 2011, 03:38:09 PM »
What is your favorite guitar sites?  8)

I don't really have any particular sites. I check TheGearPage once in a while, but it's so huge that I feel like a needle in a haystack every time I go there.

PremierGuitar of course is a great website - or perhaps we can call it an online magazine. Always interesting articles.

Youtube is probably my number one pick when it comes to anything music and guitar related!

ah, yes....here (the only one i have on my cheat sheet by my computer)

2. frugal guitarist
3. premier guitar
4. guitar squid

i have a yellow legal pad with pencilled url's on it. there are a couple technical sites i have learned a lot from...if i can find it (still in the chaos of moving, and reshufflihg) i'll post them.  the eminence and jensen speaker sites are 'must haves'.  the tubestore is a must have, imo.

i can't think of any others. some sites have no idea how to design a working site that an ordinary person can deal with...i don't write those down for future reference. software/web design is a major part of 'usefullness' for the seeker...is that a new age statement? :)

as far as forums go, i post here, and guitars canada, the gear page, and the guitar forum.
so if you were on another forum and saw a post by cheezyridr, george nada, or kumachan, that's me also. i usually keep one eye on guitar squid because it's full of interesting stuff.

+1 on Guitar Squid

Aside from here, I visit Squier Talk fairly often and check in to TDPRI every now and then. I also cruise around YouTube mainly on my subscribed sites.

I never heard of guitar squid, I'll have to check it out.

Here's a guitar site by Carl Brown. I'd like you guys to check it out. He is really a nice guy, just like Robert.  He is updating his site, but will have a new forum in a couple of months.  The guy can really explain how to play a song.  Please bookmark  it, for he has some really good plans for his site soon coming up. He has free lessons and also charges a small monthly fee for other stuff.

And if you cannot find the lesson you're looking for on Dolphin street, you can always check out Vanderbilly.com
