Looking at picking up a Laney VC30 tomorrow.  This is an older one that was made in UK and has a UK driver.  If anyone knows something I should be aware of, please let me know!  I don't want to get a lemon of an amp....

I have had no experience with the Laney amps, but the Laney Cub 15 gets a great review in the Guitarist Aust mag & the Lionhearts get top marks but are a bit expensive, probably worth checking the Laney forums for info. 8)

They took too long to respond to my offer, I just got back from Guitar Center on a two hour lunch with a Peavey Delta Blues.  Bummer, I had the cash burning a hole in my pocket too.

Is that the 115 Combo? If so that is an awesome sounding amp, spring reverb, tremolo, 15" speaker, two channel.

That's the one.   Got it for $299.  The Laney VC30 was $325 out the door, but they were too slow to respond...

That's a great sounding amp and a very good price if it's in good condition. I'd have sprung for that deal in a heartbeat :)

aint nothin' wrong with a delta blues...i've played a couple of them. if they had a head version, i'd likely have one for myself. combos are getting pretty heavy for me when they get into the 40# range.

break the speaker in, then, let us hear it, DB! bet you'll like it. simple amp, great sound was my take on the couple i played.

i can read between the lines.  you were all going to secretly pitch in and buy that for me for christmas.
i'm really flattered, but i just couldn't accept so lavish a gift. it's all very humbling, but thank you from the bottom of my heart.  ;D
