NAD- Peavey Delta Blues
« on: December 14, 2011, 09:50:22 AM »
Pulled the trigger and brought home a used Peavey Delta Blues for $317 shipped.  I've been playing it for the past couple nights.  Just as advertised, nice low end (1x15!), but its highs and mids are still there.  As the name implies, its a great amp for blues and rock!  Great amp, looks cool too being a tweed covered amp!

heck...i thought that was LL Cool J! i was at first a little frightened....now i know it's Bitney, i'm not scared of anything she might flash out at me with....she aint no chile star no more, baby.  she looks worse than doris day in the last pics is aw of doris...doris could pass for younger'n Bitney. for that matter, Bitney wouldn't win a booty contest with Mr. Ed. (or even Ed McMahon) thank goodness she hasn't been on dancing with the stars, as far as i know, anyway...eek!

having said that....i thought you had already bought a Delta Blues, DB. now i have to congratulate you again....i think they are great sounding amps...

as we all know, the crazier a woman is, the hotter she is in bed. that's why bald britney is the hottest woman who ever lived. (to those of us who know the secret)

but just to be safe, hurry up with those pics  ;D

hmph....turn britney out on the roadside, dude!

http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/11/28/us-dorisday-idUSTRE7AQ0KI20111128

now there's hot and still smokin'!!!

ya know, they have a 'wheel of crime' on the local news...and that pic of britney was on it the other night 'armed, dangerous, holding up convenience stores, speaking with foreign accent'. well, she IS kind of an actress, i guess....one might say she's 'porn again'? lol!

but....back to this delta blues thing...sound bites? i know britney bites, but i'm wondering how this delta blues bites???

I know you are more interested in hearing some of Detroit Blues' sound clips, but 'til he gives them to us:

I love the sound of this amp :)

I'll see about some recordings tonight.  Peavey's aren't helpful to me because the gain settings are really low and they're playing a strat like guitar (might be a touch of delay too).... I like a little more dirt when I'm playing.

when she was like this, she was more my speed.  jimmy stewart and henry fonda probably thought so too about this time

but if we're gonna resurrect some golden oldies,  then there's only one choice for me

she's the only movie star that could compete with gina lollabrigida for sexiness

IM4, this is the kinda stuff i like...some guy who is not 'mr. pro', using common equipment the rest of us might have/get, and sounding good.

i shouldn't listen...his tone makes me want to go play a Delta Blues....and i don't need another amp. i need a new body worse, and a third hand, sometimes. i would have listened to some more of those Delta Blues clips, but....the g.a.s. tickles and tries to rise...and i must beat it back with an old strat neck...

dh, i cannot aspire to either the young dd or the older one. it's all i can do to keep my float aboat....she was surely pretty. then again, i was never as handsome as fonda...more like shep (3 stooges)...i did get to make a sweet young thing laugh today, so, i'm not dead yet....and dude, Doris could SING like an ANGEL....:) none a them other beauties from then except the andrews sisters could really sing, unless you count..uh...mammary lapse...i forget.

No clips, not enough time before kids went to bed, but at least here's a not so glamorous glamor shot...

i think, DB, that they are like a valve jr......they don't flash you to death with looks, like '3 monkeys' or one of the glamour amps.

they make your ears go 'ahhh...', and they make your wallet feel still slightly full.

this all makes me think of my airline amp i had when i was in high school. wish i had that thing still. the old school is the good school in lots of cases.
