NAD- Peavey Delta Blues

That was a first for me. My ears ain't "all that",  but The Fender was "clean and articulate" compared to the Peavey which had a warmer tone to it. If I was going to do blues, I'd go Peavey in this case. They both had the bottom though. I think the Fender has versatility going for it. I like 'em both. Good amps in their own right.

I found the Fender amps line are great for really high volume, yet remaining clean tones that need a good dirt pedal to give you that crunch.  With the DeltaBlues, it has its own preamp overdrive which to my ears gives me the deep ended overdrive I love, even when playing the blues....

Got the footswitch for the amp last night.  I was rather surprised the footswitch is clean channel and effects..... but not the effects loop, but rather just the tremolo circuit.  I think even the Reverb stays on... Not quite what I expected....

Speaking of guitar amps with 15" speakers, anyone remember the short lived (1980-82) Fender 75 Vintage Tube Guitar Amplifier? It had a switch, that could be switched between 75 watts down to 15 watts. Those old Vibroverbs (1963-64) and Vibrosonics (1959-63) had used either 15" Oxford or JBL speakers. But like on their guitars, Fender's always changing lanes to keep ya guessing. Y'know, Pre-CBS, Blackface, Silverface re-issue this, discontinue that, etc. etc. etc.!
