Wow, sounds great. What's the purpose of the OD pedal in conjuction with the Tonelab?
Thanks DB.

I'll admit the Tonelab has its own built in OD fx ..... they work OK enough for heavier layers of overdrive/distortion but if used at the cleaner end of the range they're inclined to compress and colour the tone/sound of the guitar much more than I would like. As do the couple of budget OD pedals I have.
I have just recently managed to acquire a Rothwell Heartbreaker OD pedal which was up for sale locally. Yesterday was the first day I got to try it out properly. I can hear the lack of compression using the Heartbreaker, and it's confirmed on the spikiness of the Wave forms on my DAW tracks - I really prefer the sounds of a recording when as much of the playing dynamics and the adjustments to tone and volume controls of the guitar come through on to the mix - apart from anything else it means less work for me on trying to get those variations.
And linking in a pedal as good as this using the lower gain / boost elements adds a significant richness and fullness to the sound while letting the sound of the guitar itself through. I've never liked the way my budget OD pedals have tried to make all my guitars sound the same.
Ideally I should be gettng the sound I'm looking for by putting a microphone on a cranked up tube amp - but with two sets of neighbours it's not really an option. So I'm trying to get modelling software and pedals to do as good a job as my poor skills will let them. It's VERY frustrating.
