Having participated and watched a couple of 'sales', I find myself almost outraged at this.  When these are 'BRAC'd', typically, they seem to be bought by large consortiums or corporations.  Why?  If they were seized/nationalized in the first place, why are they not returned to the 'our property rolls', instead of turned into digital money that disappears within the 'government lack of accounting system'?  Shouldn't they be turned into some national property like is done with the National Forest System or the BLM? (not 'Black Lives Matter' but 'Bureau of Land Management'). What about razing the buildings and making them a park or monument?

Think about it.
