Danelectro Chicken Salad Review
A great cheap vibe pedal!
The Chicken Salad pedal is yet another Danelectro mini-pedal with a cool name. They are all the same small size and with funky colors.
This pedal is labeled a vibrato pedal but it is more of a uni-vibe mixed with a phaser. I love it.
Jimi Hendrix and Band of Gypsys spring to mind immediately, although this pedal doesn't exactly nail the Uni-vibe tone Jimi had. No, it has its own flavor, but it does sound cool and I think it can be used in many ways.
Remember Bridge Of Sighs by Robin Trower? This baby can do it!
The sound is a bit "spungy" and a bit similar to a phase pedal, I would say. Place it before your gain pedals for the best and fattest tone. I like it this way.
