Fulltone Clyde Wah through my Hellhound - October 25 2005
The Fulltone Clyde Wah pedal is very sweet. This is easily the best sounding wah I have ever played. It's darn expensive, but if you are picky about your wah pedal, check this baby out. Here's a clip of me playing the good old Voodoo Chile riff, plus some 70s funk wah grooves.
This Wah has a very wide sweep, and it feels a bit different to use compared to a Crybaby or Vox. One other difference - it features an internal tone adjustment control. This feature is very useful, as it lets you alter the sound of the wah. It's a must play around with this pot to see what works best for your guitars. A humbucker equipped guitar may need a different setting on this internal adjustment control, compared to say, a Strat.
It doesn't color the sound when it isn't on, because it features true bypass circuitry. Very nice feature! It is also built like a tank - an extremely sturdy pedal you won't break any time soon and it will stay where you put it due to its weight. Don't you hate flimsy pedals that you have to velcro or tie down just get them to stay put?
I love the Fullone Clyde wah pedal, very nice quality pedal. Even though it cost me my shirt, I don't regret buying it. This wah wah pedal will make you not want to stop playing once you start.
The Teese Picture wah seems like a very good one too, same with the Budda wah, but the Fulltone Clyde wah's are certainly one of the best you can get today.
Check out the Fulltone web site for more clips and other cool pedals.
