Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive Review

The Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive is an overdrive pedal with a twist. It has a "clean" knob, that lets you blend the overdriven and the clean tone, almost like have one clean amp and another with a saturated overdrive.
The Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive overdrive circuit is based on the vintage TS 808 and provides a tone very much similar to it.
By turning up the gain and playing with the clean knob, you can get some very useful tones. I found it was great for getting that Keith Richards tone - slightly overdriven but clean enough for rhythmic chording.

The Sounds page has 2 demo clips of the Boogiemen. On that recording, I used the Sparkle Drive through a solid state Lab Series L5 amp.
