This lesson shows some nice ways to play blues turnarounds at the end of a 12 bar blues. In the key of A. Ideas from Clapton, Robben Ford, SRV, and others, who in turn probably learned if from somewhere else. Learn these turnarounds in different keys too - all 12 preferably.
Understanding I-IV-V is an intensive 65 minute video that will give you a crash course on guitar theory. It is not a complete lesson on music theory. Instead, this is the perfect introductory tool to get you started on the guitar, or to reveal the secrets of the fretboard that you are not aware of yet. You will learn why chord numbers are far more important than chord letters, how to write your own songs and chord progressions effortlessly and endlessly, and much more.
I use Guitar Pro for most of my video lessons. It is a great product that will not only show you the notes in both TAB and standard notation, you will also HEAR them being played at the same you see them. Very helpful for learning! Click the link below to try the free demo.
I have lots of gear demos too on this site. Go and take a look at some of my Guitar Videos for some examples of gear I use or have used.
Hi Robert, I was going through some of the video lessons and came across "blues guitar turnarounds" but, I have not been able to open the video. Other lessons are opening without any problems. Would you check to see if there is a streaming problem with this lesson? Thanks, the lessons are really helpful.
Comment added on August 11, 2010Really appreciate videos and the DVD that I bought. I review it from time to time to bring me back up to speed, because I don't have the talent to remember tunes; or melodies. It helps me. Thanks Jess South Texas
Comment added on March 01, 2010Dear Robert, I'm a italian beginner (I started to study guitar last year even if I'm 46 years old).
I only want to thank you for all this great work. and to share it. It's helping me a lot.
Thank you so much from Italy!
Just took some free time tonight to review some of your video lessons. This is a lot of what I need more of to help me learn. I seem to be sticking in a rut on some practice sessions. Great site! aka Street Music
