Chicken Grease Funk Video Lesson

Guitar Lesson Overview

Chicken Grease funk rhythm is cool. Prince, James Brown and other funk masters used this idea a lot in their music. The idea is to play 16th notes unmuted, but you accentuate certain notes to make this cool sound. Here the chord is an inversion of an E9.

Cool. But like the other two funk lessonss, the difference between your example (really funky!), and mine is about a light year! Oh well, just practise I guess.
