Want to Slow Down Videos to make it easier to learn? |
It has taken me hundreds of hours to produce all the lessons you see here. Support is needed for this to continue. If you are able to, please help the free lessons coming by providing a donation. |
Here's a cool sounding short lick, played over an E7 vamp. There's a bit of movement with the left hand, but I use sliding notes to make it easier. The GP5 has the piano rhythm to play along with, as well as the actual lick. Practice it slow at first!
I highly recommend you buy Guitar Pro - it's the best software I have found for learning guitar. Many of my lessons come with Guitar Pro files. You can download a trial version on the Guitar Pro website to see if you like it (I think you will).
Understanding I-IV-V is an intensive 65 minute video that will give you a crash course on guitar theory. It is not a complete lesson on music theory. Instead, this is the perfect introductory tool to get you started on the guitar, or to reveal the secrets of the fretboard that you are not aware of yet. You will learn why chord numbers are far more important than chord letters, how to write your own songs and chord progressions effortlessly and endlessly, and much more.
I use Guitar Pro for most of my video lessons. It is a great product that will not only show you the notes in both TAB and standard notation, you will also HEAR them being played at the same you see them. Very helpful for learning! Click the link below to try the free demo.
I have lots of gear demos too on this site. Go and take a look at some of my Guitar Videos for some examples of gear I use or have used.

Comment added on November 20, 2009Robert - Hip lick - the notation .pdf file only shows the changes, no lick notation. Do you have the line notated as well?
