This is a straight-forward jazz guitar lick over F7. The guitar lick is being played over the first 4 bars, and ends on bar 5, which in a jazz blues would be Bb7. I always recommend to my guitar students that they take parts of licks like this one and make it their own. Perhaps you like the first 5-10-notes the best - then steal them and create a new lick based on them, or change some things in it to make it more like you (timing, sound, rhythmic phrasing, etc).
The Guitar Pro 5 file has the chords used in the video backing track - for the instrument, I used an organ in Guitar Pro 5.
I highly recommend you buy Guitar Pro - it's the best software I have found for learning guitar. Many of my lessons come with Guitar Pro files. You can download a trial version on the Guitar Pro website to see if you like it (I think you will).
Understanding I-IV-V is an intensive 65 minute video that will give you a crash course on guitar theory. It is not a complete lesson on music theory. Instead, this is the perfect introductory tool to get you started on the guitar, or to reveal the secrets of the fretboard that you are not aware of yet. You will learn why chord numbers are far more important than chord letters, how to write your own songs and chord progressions effortlessly and endlessly, and much more.
I use Guitar Pro for most of my video lessons. It is a great product that will not only show you the notes in both TAB and standard notation, you will also HEAR them being played at the same you see them. Very helpful for learning! Click the link below to try the free demo.
I have lots of gear demos too on this site. Go and take a look at some of my Guitar Videos for some examples of gear I use or have used.
Very Nice! Just got myself a semi acoustic guitar and this is great material!
