This guitar is more than a cool look. It is a REAL quality guitar. Don't let the low price fool you.
It is a regular Telecaster with no extra gimmicks. Just the way it should be! I am very impressed with the Alnico 3 pickups - they sound great.
This guitar is versatile. I find the bridge pickup to have just the right amount of bite. On some of my amps, the neck pickup can be slightly muddy, but this is mostly a matter of learning how to set up your amps and pedals right. This guitar sounds as good as Fenders that cost over a grand.
Nice workmanship - better than on any other Squiers I have seen. Mine had a very small hump on a couple of frets, but it was so minor. Such things can happen to any guitar, regardless of price/perceived quality, since wood reacts to changes in temperature. The frets are nicely polished and well trimmed - no fret sprout here.
This is a WINNER! Who knew a pine body guitar could sound so great? The Alnico III pickups contineus to impress me, and the sweet vintage-style maple glossy neck is treat to play. This guitar is really worth a lot more than what they are selling for. It's on par with many Fenders costing several times as much. No wonder Squier is selling A LOT of these right now.
By the way, the
Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Custom Three-Tone Sunburst is great too, and do check it out as well if you are looking for a quality Telecaster to a low price.
