I have collected quite a bit of guitar gear over the years. I tend to favor single-coil guitars such as Stratocasters and Telecasters. Some day I will get a Les Paul, but I don't feel like I really need one at this point.
For amps, I like old Fender amps, as well as more rockier Marshall-type amps. I am not too much into heavy gain monster amps though. With a good clean amp tone, I can get a wide variety of cool gain tones by using a variety of pedals.
Amps : Reverend Hellhound, Avatar 2x12 closed back cabinet with Celestion 70/80 speakers, Vox Valvetronix AD50VT, SX 10w practice amp.Guitars : Suhr Classic, Fender Deluxe Players Strat® , Squier Standard Telecaster, Squier '51, Squier Stratocaster, Richard the Dorian, SX SST 62 Strat copy, SX DG-50CE electro-acoustic, and a Yamaha cheap, crappy acoustic.
Electric Bass : SX SJB-57 Jazz Bass.
Effects : I have a pedal board I made myself out of a suitcase, but I have replaced it with a Pedaltrain 2 board. The pedals I use are:
- 19 Sixty 3
- Arion MOC-1 Octave Pedal
- Arion SCH-1 Stereo Chorus
- Boss Blues Driver

Other Gear
For picks, I use V-picks, hand made picks by Vinnie Smith. They are really nice; they give me better control over my picking, compared to most other picks I've ever tried. I also sometimes use Dunlop Gator 2mm picks - they're nice and round, and thick! For cables, I don't use a specific brand, just whatever I've collected through the years. I like the Digiflex cables I recently got. Some of my friends use Planet Waves, and they seem very nice indeed. I use George L cables to connect my pedals. I recently got a Planet Waves Guitar Strap that I really like. It is wide and soft, and very comfortable. Also inexpensive.
I use a few Kyser products: a Capo quick-change, Dr. Stringfellow string lubricant & cleaner and Dr. Stringfellow Lem-Oil for taking care of the rosewood fretboard. The string cleaner is a great thing to keep your strings fresh longer.
I probably have too many pedals, but I think it's fun to experiment and get different sounds. I have been called "Inspector Gadget" on occasion...
