Here's a video demo of 3 of my favourite dirt pedals. The Baja Tech Das Fuzz, Maxon SD-9, and the Zonkin' Yellow Screamer (built my friend DuhVoodooMan). The Das Fuzz is a bit noisy, as you can hear at the beginning of the clip, before I hit the strings. The other pedals are more quiet. The Maxon is a great pedal for overall gain - either for heavy thick distortion or bluesy overdrive. Finally, the ZYS is a fantastic tube screamer on steroids. It has many, many options for the amount of gain and for tonal character. I am using a RP4558P chip in it, and it is a very smooth and clear sounding pedal.
