It is fun to play around with an Octave Pedal. Mine is an Arion MOC-1, a very cheap pedal and probably not the best of this kind. Still, I dig playing with it. It gives you this big, fat sound and it almost feels like you are playing a synthesizer. You can see in this clip how the tracking on low notes kind of sucks. It starts oscillating and going nuts on the low E string. Higher notes work better though, and I tend to want to play short notes with this effect, otherwise you risk getting that completely spaced out, wobbly sound. Cool at times perhaps, but often not. » Download this video and share it with your friends! Support My Free Guitar Videos! If you want to help support my website and the work I do.
