Where to get good jazz and fusion?

I want to share with you, a very fine resource for getting new and old jazz and fusion music. Not only that, there's great blues and avant garde music too. This website is called Abstract Logix.

Abstract Logix specializes in jazz, instrumental, progressive and world music portal. Music with BALLS, as they say! For me, as a musician, it's one of the first stops when exploring new and exciting music. It's chock full of talents you've probably never heard of. I've discovered several incredible musicians on this website, such as Alex Machacek and Matthew Garrison.

You can also buy DVDs, which is awesome. John Scofield for example, just released a new live DVD, and you can get it from Abstract Logix.

I bought one of my all time favourite guitar albums at Abstract Logix - Michael Landaus double Live CD - wicked guitar playing on this album!

You can also find a good interview here with Souvik Dutta, the founder.

Do check them out, and support what they do. They help spread this kind of music, which needs all the help it can get. We need to educate younger players that there's more to music than what they hear on the radio stations or see on mainstream TV.
