I've bought a few things from Rondo Music over the years, and I have to say, most of it is pretty nice quality for what you pay.
I have an SX guitar and an SX bass. Both sound quite fantastic! The guitar sounded nice with the stock pickups. I then put in Fender CS '54 pickups and wow - killer tone. The bridge and tuners are ok, but if you want to make it excellent, I'd recommend a better bridge.
For what I paid for the SX strat, I'd say it's the most bang for the buck ever. Make a few mods, and you have a great sounding axe for very little money.
The SX bass is also a pleasant surprise. It seems better built than the guitar - nothing to complain about. It sounds really good, and I haven't found a flaw on it yet. I've got the SX Jazz model.
I also have a tiny little SX practice amp, and I really like it! The tone is great for practicing, both clean and distorted. Since it's so small, it's easy to bring along. No battery option though.
Rondo Music have a lot of interesting gear at good prices. Perhaps their best guitars are the Agile guitars. They are a higher level of workmanship and quality compared to the SX. Better quality control too. If you want a nice Les Paul copy, do look at the Agiles. They are better than most people think...
Go and take a look at the guitar gear at Rondo Music and see if you find something interesting - it's a great place to shop for guitar gear if you are on a budget!
