Shopping For Guitar Effects Pedals?

I have almost all of the Danelectro Cool Cat pedals, and I have to say, they are some of the best deals you can find, when it comes to good, quality effects pedals. Yes, I stand by that. These pedals are built to last, and they sound very good. Metal casing, true bypass, and great tone. I have used the Tremolo, Vibe and Transparent Overdrive live for years, and they never let me down.

If you are looking for some classy sounding pedals that will give you more tonal options, then the Cool Cat Pack is a great choice. The price is right - dirt cheap really for what you get! Don't let that fool you though - I stand by my statement that these are solid and great sounding pedals. If you want pedals that sound better, you'll have to go the boutique route and pay many times more. In the end, the differences won't be that big either, from my experience.

Danelectro Cool Cat Series CP-2 Cat Pack

Danelectro Cool Cat Series CP-2 Cat Pack

From Danelectro comes this sweet pack of Cool Cat effect pedals. The pack includes the CV-1 Vibe, CT-1 Tremolo, and CTO-2 Transparent Overdrive pedals.

The Cool Cat CV-1 Vibe Guitar Effects Pedal from Danelectro gives you a metal stomp box for the price of a plastic one.

The Cool Cat CT-1 Tremolo Guitar Pedal from Danelectro gives you a metal stompbox for the price of a plastic one. If you're finicky about tone, the Cool Cat CT-1 Tremolo Effect Pedal will have you purring. Better than your vintage amp. Dig the square wave setting.

The Danelectro CTO-2 Transparent Overdrive effects pedal from the Cool Cat series shines with all the classy crunch that you've come to expect from an authority on cool sound and stylish tone. The Transparent Overdrive lets more of your guitar's voice shine through, even at high overdrive settings. It's a very useful effect pedal for everything from modern Country to American and British Rock.

My choice for distortion pedal

The Maxon SD-9 is my favorite distortion pedal. It can't be beat, in my opinion.
