Fender has a new line of guitars out, called the Blacktop guitar series. This expands on the designs of the classic Fender Stratocaster, Telecaster, Jazzmaster and Jaguar guitars, by the addition of high-gain humbucker pickups.
The Blacktop series provides thick and heavy sounds for modern rock tones. These guitars will be perfect for those who need rich and aggressive guitar tones.
The Blacktop Jazzmaster HS looks like an interesting and powerful Jazzmaster model. The Jazzmaster single-coil neck pickup and humbucker bridge pickup will provide some hot high gain tones.
Features include an alder body, a maple neck, 9.5" radius rosewood fretboard, 21 medium jumbo frets, gloss urethane finish and nickel/chrome hardware.
The Blacktop Jaguar HH has dual over-wound alnico humbucking pickups, with other distinctive features including skirted black amp knobs, a slinky 24" scale, Adjusto-Matic bridge with stop tailpiece, and a lean control layout featuring a single three-way toggle switch.
Other features include an alder body, maple neck with 9.5" radius rosewood fretboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, gloss polyester finish and chrome hardware.
The dual humbucker Stratocaster is an affordable guitar with tons of gain available.
Vintage-style Fender Blacktop Alnico humbucker pickups provide high gain and aggressive tones. This guitar also has black amp knobs and a vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge.
Features include an alder body, maple neck, 9.5" radius rosewood or maple fretboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, gloss urethane finish and nickel/chrome hardware
The Blacktop Telecaster HH is a dual-bucker Tele and it has high gain tones available as well.
As with the Blacktop Stratocaster HH, this guitar has vintage-style Fender Blacktop Alnico humbucker pickups for high gains sounds. Other distinctive features include skirted black amp knobs, reversed control plate and a vintage-style hard-tail bridge with six grooved saddles for optimum string alignment.
