How to get good blues lead guitar tone

I love the sound of a Fender Super Reverb or Twin cranked up all the way. Same with an old Marshall Plexi. Those amps start to really bloom when they are pushed.

There is an obvious problem with that though. Yes, it's gonna be LOUD! No way you can do that in an apartment or with people in the vicinity.

So, what's a poor boy to do? Well you can either use digital gear, which often sounds uninspiring for blues tone. Or, you can use the technique I show in this video.

That's the gist of it. I'll also tell you about a few other things, like combining two pedals, and the importance of dialling in the bass, mid, and highs by listening actively.
