Prices have come down the last few years when it comes to quality camcorders, and the quality and flexibility of the unit has gone up. Here are my top picks in different price ranges.

In the $300 - $400 range

Touch to focus
Can take photos and video simultaneously
Cons
LCD can be hard to see in bright sunlight
Low Light abilities are not great
Only 16 GB of space
