I haven't listened to all of it yet, but here is a song from the album. Pretty song. The production is far better than the previous album, which I thought sounded very rough. Might have to buy this album - I like his songwriting. Dirty Jeans & Mudslide Hymns is an appealing album for sure.
I am happy to see Train To Birmingham is on here - I believe it is a song he wrote a long time ago, and it's very nice indeed.
John Hiatt has been one of my favourite songwriters for many years. He combines excellent song writing and story telling with the unique ability to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds.
If you like Springsteen, Steve Earle and the likes, but haven't listened to John Hiatt - do yourself a favour and get this album, as well as Bring The Family, Stolen Moments, Slow Turning, Walk On and Perfectly Good Guitar.
