Anyone here using Reaper to record?
I downloaded and installed it yesterday to give it a trial run and am trying to work my way through what looks to be a pretty arduous learning curve.
I was using Riffworks for a while but found it a bit limiting and tried a demo of Ableton and didn't care for it much but so far Reaper seems to be pretty good.
Any feedback or tips from users?

I've done a lot with REAPER. It's as good as anything out there. I find it easy and intuitive to use. I normally record in Logic, but sometimes for fun I'll run in REAPER for a change. Great plugins with it too.

I do, and I like it. Just remember to press the Ctrl key when selecting something.

What does pressing the Ctrl key do when you select? Do you mean when you select a track?
