Guitar Playing, Technique, Theory / Larry Carlton practice tip
« on: July 29, 2011, 06:03:24 PM »
Just in case anybody missed this on GuitarSquid...
I'm not a jazz kinda guy at all, pretty much just straight up blues. Don't even care much for the "modern" blues 'cause of all that jazz stuff mixed in. But there's no denying Larry Carlton's talent and this little practice tip seems pretty cool no matter where your taste might lie.

Guitar Talk In General / Belly up 4 Blues

If, like me, you’re disgusted with the generic, pasteurized, homogenized, over-produced, ultra-commercialized dog drool that oozes from your local radio station, and you’re into blues and blues rock, check this out.

Lots of good stuff, everything from Joe Bonamassa to Howlin’ Wolf, and everything in between. This is where I first discovered people like Beth Hart, Walter Trout, The Beat Daddys... well, you get the idea. And as a listener supported internet station, there are 0 commercials. Even has a “recently played” list so you can keep track of who you’re hearing.
