Yep, I've seen them now.  The Gibson ES339's are reasonable too, but not in my budget for awhile.

It folded for a couple reasons, but basically unexplained censorship... However, too many members urged for its reactivation and it was turned back on a couple weeks ago.

What I'd expect is Fender to shut down the Mexican Plant and make them in Asia.  Gibson should also do the same on budget models.  They should change their headstocks to Gibson shapes.  Forget those lessor models.

Nice shots of the Heritage Booth!  Love that $1,000,000 diamond Strat.  That beast is unreal!  But what's with the pic of the cockroach?

Nope, it's supposed to be slightly angled, part of the original innotation when the first tailpieces were just wrap around.

Looks like a nice piece of plank. I'vo no doubt it sounds good. How's intonation over the neck?

Thankfully the Wilkinson was innotatable.  Otherwise is great.  I just swapp the 500k tone pot for a 250.  Huge difference, makes this P90 absolutely scream without being too bright.

It sounds really good.  I'm wondering though if I should of used different pots.  I find it to be rather bright, so I'm think perhaps I should of used 250k pots instead of 500.

Over Christmas, my wonderful wife succumbed to my request for a guitar kit.  I requested a Les Paul Junior Double Cut model from Precision Guitar because they have a reputation for a quality construction design process.  While the kit itself was inexpensive compared with trying to buy an actual Gibson LPJDC, it wasn't cheap.  I decided I could opt for parts from GFS, using their Dog-ear P90, tuners, wiring harness, and a Wilkinson adjustable wrap around bridge.  I like the look of the wood grain on a guitar and decided I wanted to try TruOil as it has a reputation of being a strong finish that is easy to apply...  Just to add to the fun; I found an idea for a pick-guard.  I used a record cut in the shape of a Jr Pick-guard.  The results were great for my first time.    Without further ado, here's the gratuitous glamor shots...

Maybe I should of used what I thought was best, not what someone else uses... Bummer...

I've been a long standing member of the Heritage Owners Club forum.  After a series of mistakes by Admins, Moderators, and violations of a handful of members, the forum has shut down.  I've invited the former members to join us here.  I hope the forum is big enough to handle the membership count it may get!

I had them and didn't care for them.  Way too hot. But I had the set used by Anthony on Texas Blues Alley...

I've been curious to hear it through a larger cabinet...  Hendrix demo would be awesome!  Let's hear it Robert!

Ibanez makes decent affordable stuff...

I made a few of them.  Last was for a co-worker that gave me a Victorias Secret Chocolate box...
