a good time was had
« on: September 09, 2012, 12:39:41 PM »
ive seen a couple of really good shows lately.

i saw rick emmett and triumph,  and last weekend i went to the rock-n-blues fest.
that was kim simmonds from savoy brown, rick derringer, edgar winter, and johnny winter.
last night i was supposed to go out and see a led zep tribute band, but  i was pooped and stayed home.

rick emett was amazing!  a great show!  for the rock-n-blues fest, kim simmons stole the show.
edgar winter was really good, and so was rick derringer.  johnny's gettin old. he's not at the top of his game.  he's still got more chops than i ever will though.  holy smokes though, kim simmonds played his guitar so hard i thought it might catch fire and burn. he sang jumped around like a man with bees in his pants! i'm newly a fan

I haven't heard Triumph in a long time. Good Canadian band. Johnny Winter is a couple clicks close to 70 ain't he? Sounds like you enjoyed yer self and that's a good thing.
