'The Civil Wars' on austin city limits

these two did a knockout job on acl a couple weeks ago. i recorded it, and have to say the harmony reminds me of lennon and mccartney.  white does a great job with the guitar (he knows his acoustic well, and is very imaginative-wait'll you here them do 'Billy Jean'), as well, but the singing is the main thing. really, their whole act is a testimony to practice, practice, practice.  as is said 'they have their act together'.  genius=1% inspiration, 99% perspiration. (einstein?...no matter...truth)

if you have not seen a 'singer who knows how to act onstage', Joy williams is one...and the interplay between her and John Paul White gets the crowd going. enjoy.
