« on: November 08, 2013, 09:07:29 AM »
Hi folks, Has anyone here heard of Fury guitars? These guitars are made in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. The man behind them has been makin them since 1962. They are exceptional guitars, he is still making them. If you have heard of them or have one of these please reply.... thanks

Hi Robert, thanks for the reply, The fury guitar is made by a fellow named Glenn Mcdougall in Saskatoon Sask. You dont see them too often. He makes all the parts right there in his shop with his own patented pickup. you can see more about them by looking at the web site. just search " Fury Guitar ". I have a fireball made in 65 plus I just purchased one he made just recently. If you ever get to Saskatoon call him and go see him you will not be disapointed

Here's the website : http://www.furyguitar.com/index.html
Interesting guitars.
The man is smart enough to develop and produce his own pick-ups, nuts and bridges...Patents are expensive!
Haven't be able to find a price anywhere, but the 'hand crafted' makes me think they're not that cheap.

Thanks for the replies, folks.  Glenn makes these guitars from his own design so they are not modified at all. Being that has been making them since 1962 it makes him the oldest guitar maker in Canada. Myles Goodwin of April Wine plays a fury. There are many different models to choose from as you can see by the web site. I am trying to get some pictures on here but not having any luck. I'm just new to this site... Thanks again

Yep, Glenn said he was one of the best if not the best guitar players he ever knew. Too bad Johnny past away this spring of heart attack
