Quality of the MIJ Fenders are better than standard Americans.  Well worth the money.  I don't like salesman that are pushy like that.  I once had a salesman try talking me into a Gibson LP Custom that should of went back to the factory it had so many finish flaws....

Thank you man. I hoped (or better it did not come) for an answer like this. Now I'll have to rethink the purchase.

for what this is worth:

every review i have read lusts on the mustang, and is 'not so hot' on the other two.  i tried a mustang, and returned it.  the short neck is something one likes or doesn't.  they do have two gorgeous finishes-lake placid blue and (my favorite) candy apple red.

otherwise, given the sometimes variable quality of the lower end of guitars, maybe ebay? about as much risk per dollar, if they are within your country (they do have ebay there, eh?)

Well I can order from US, or UK, but we do not have e-Bay brand locally. Obviously, we have our local versions of īnternet based
'small adds/ second hand market", but there the choice of guitars is not better than in local shops.
