Yes, the long awaited (well, not that long) Electro-Harmonix "Soul Food" has arrived today. Ahead of schedule no less. I didn't expect to see this until next month sometime. I must say it is as advertised, transparent! It's no non-sense. I like it. Since I'm not an owner of a bunch of overdrive/distortion stomp boxes, I only physically have one other one to compare it to and that is my Boss DN-2 Dyna Drive. I find the DN-2 has a tad more "body" or "warmth" and responds to the guitars' volume control better. The Soul Foods' got a more edgy-ness to it and sustains well. Me like and that's what counts. It'll probably serve as a boost for my set up. It fits what my sound is about and that's what any musician looks for.
