Fender is really going into Marketing 101

I didn't know Fender could sell direct. Anyone here know about that.  Fenders new look on guitars.

Actually the ad looks nice, but seeing one play one, it looks too clustered. I'll take a hello kitty fender guitar first  :D

Hi creekster, that link where I'm at will take you to Fender homepage, that is where it says:
AVAILABLE DIRECT FROM FENDER.COM

I wish I could get this how to take a screen shot thing working, I'd post the picture then. International websites may show up differently depending on which country you live. I find this true with most Guitar makers websites.

Joe - The link takes me to the Fender page with the Major League Baseball series. I does state can be ordered, but I didn't see anywhere stating they would be ordered direct from Fender. I suspect that if Fender ever did offer direct ordering, it would probably be priced at full MSRP in order to avoid disputes with their dealer base.

Now the ad says this: *Fender MLB instruments may only be ordered and shipped within the United States at this time.

I think that means you have to order through an authorized Fender dealer, but I may be wrong.

I saw the MLB thang, but I also read that you can order straight from Fender when you do the "Design Your Own Fender Guitar or Bass" thang too. At the bottom of th' page it says; SHIPS IN 90 DAYS, then it reads "Your built-to-order American Design Experience (ADE) instrument shipped anywhere in the United States at no additional cost".
They also provide a 1-800 number and email contact info as well.
