Tell me what you want to learn
« on: June 15, 2014, 12:29:55 AM »
I like to hear from people who are looking for ways to improve on the guitar, what they are looking for.

What would you like to learn from me?

You may know I play a vast variety of styles, and I'm always looking for feedback so that I can work on lessons that people really want.

Let me know you your thoughts!

Country boogie - I'm not sure what that is. Can you give an example?

I gotta put learnin' on hold and work on my "mechanics" and "timing". Y'know, clean up my act, that kind of stuff.

Zag, understood. I have published a course on the minor pentatonic on MGA, and it will be available for purchase soon. It not only covers the 5 pentatonic boxes, but I also teach the theory behind the interval structure of the scale, as well as different tempos to play them in. In other words, timing and execution.

I think country boogie is what you get when you come to Jerry Lee Lewis' gig for some R'n'R, as heard on records, but you get country with JLL on boogie piano, and when they play blues, they play the same thing, only slower.
Which is what I experienced in vivo.

Joking half rants aside, it's a thin line btw R'n'R (Rockabilly) and Country, that line being Country Boogie.

All IMO, of course.
