I find it amazing that in spite of what you pay for a shall we say "lesser model" or "low end" Gibson (ie. Studio, etc.), and the lack of amenities like a hardshell case for anything under uhhhh...$1100. Even Epiphone will use an inlay of their name of their headstock. Gibson will use the same silk screening they use for the "Les Paul model" decal for their name up until you pay mmmmm..... maybe $1450 or so (for Les Pauls anyway) then you get an inlaid Gibson name. Personally, I believe a set neck guitar should have a hard case. That's just me. Anything less is unacceptable.
Yet in light of all this, they (Gibson) still has their devotees and followers that bear allegiance to this wha....112 year old company? Well, they weren't so cut corner-ish way back when so.........ah you get th' picture. Won't be long before your sub-$1000 Gibson guitar will be made in Asia somewhere! It will beneath them to deal with that "stuff"!
