It's just an Ibanez - not boutique enough for me.

Perhaps this may be a little more to your liking Robert -

https://reverb.com/item/1777478-nordvang-custom-no-1-overdrive

Last time I spent anything close to that (for an overdrive) was for a Dumbloid. Big mistake!! And as you know it's considerably more!  Got rid of it quick! Got lucky and broke even! The guy that hooked up my Line 6 M5 makes a overdrive called the Ghost Drive, so I got of those. Excellent pedal!

In my life I bought total of 4 pedals:

1. Yamaha Flanger
2. Arion Compressor
3. Arion Chorus
4. Arion Phaser

I also had a Boss OD and couple I can not remember, but those I got for free, or in trade for other garbage. Back to topic ...

Arions were all stereo and If I remember correctly they cost me 60 Dutch Guilders (cca. USD30) a piece, back in 1992.
Yamaha was some 100,000.00 Italian Liras in 1987 (cca. USD70).

They all were more than good enough for me.

Then I bought BossSE70 in 1995, I think, and never looked back, or further for that matter.

Yamaha I gave away to someone, or have lost it(?!), Arions I've sold couple of years ago for EUR30 (USD35) a piece.

ya know, Vladan, i wish I COULD SAY 'in my life i bought a total of 4 pedals'!

most usually, they are a product of marketing and some cheap chinese electronics. even the booteek ones with the wine cork inside.

one that amazed me...the EHX 'SoulFood'.  $70.

Seem like a nice OD, that SoulFood. In blind test against infamous Klone it is the one with warmer/ muddier sound.

Have to say about Arions, they were Made in Japan, all discrete components inside. Plastic housing, IMO, made them so affordable.

I too wish I could say I bought a total of 4 pedals in MY life as well! Instead I fell for th' "Okie Doke" an' got damn near as much as these guys like Pete Thorn, Brett Kingman, Sean Tubbs, Alan Hinds, Simon Gotthelf and th' rest of 'em that has a mountain of pedals on shelves behind them in their videos!

Oh yeah.........isn't that Arion Chorus the same one that has that "EWS" mod that kicks the cost of it from about $40 bucks to $176? Amazing!

My Archer pedal is enough "Klon" for me.

Interesting, it seems they are doing mod to SCH-Z, I think mine was SCH-1.

I hear th' SCH-1's sound great stock. I've noticed the SCH-Z's are usually modded (EWS/Vertex) to cop the SCH-1 sound.

Found this by accident and after I read about it and tried to guess what I thought th' price might be before I clicked, I wasn't too far off. I guessed about $300 something, but the final number does not surprise me. $399! Hmph! Figures! Got enough knobs on it don't it? Take a look at not just all th' toggle switches, but those top mounted dip switches on these things!

I looked further into this company "Chase Bliss Audio" only to find prices reminiscent of prices from Spaceman Effects!

Just when you thought $200 (for a pedal) was a tad steep, here come these guys hahaha!
