i recently began a quest to start a blues/rock band.  those of us who participate know it's just for fun, we'll never play bars or whatever.  my intention was to avoid all the ego tripping and what not.
in fact, today the other guitarist, and the bass player come over for the meet and greet jam in my apt this afternoon.. wish us luck

Sounds great! Have fun and enjoy!

I thought it would be fun, but when you go from an organized band to a non-directional jam, its just not as fun...   :-\

Well, if that works for you, no problem. It's cool. I'll never go that route again personally.
